Salty, Bitter, Sweet

I recently received book mail and was happy since I have been waiting for this! I received the anticipated release of Mayra Cuevas’s book Salty, Bitter, Sweet. Thank you @blinkyabooks and Mayra for sending this over to me. In just reading the synopsis, I am ready to dive into this sweet rom-com! Plus, I love cooking and trying new recipes, so I know that I can connect to the character with our love of being in the kitchen.

The upside of Isa’s world being turned upside down? She is now located only thirty minutes from the restaurant if world-famous Ched Grattard, who runs a prestigious, competitive international kitchen apprenticeship. the prize job at Chef Grattard’s renowned restaurant represents a transformative opportunity for Isa, who is desperate to get her life back in order — and desperate prove she has what it takes to work in a haute kitchen. But Isa’s stress and repressed grief begin to unravel when the attractive and enigmatic Diego shows up unannounced. How can Isa expect to hold it together when she’s at the bottom of her apprenticeship class, her new stepmom is pregnant, she misses her Abuela dearly, and things with Diego reach a boiling point?
