Sorry, I have been MIA. I have been busy with work, life and traveling. Within the last two months, I have traveled to India and Argentina. In my recent trip to Argentina, I was able to purchase some book and in Miami, Florida where I have to stay a day after I returned back from Argentina. I spent two weeks in Argentina for work where I learned so much about the history and the country itself, but more of that in another post!
I wanted to share with you the books I was able to purchase during this trip. In Argentina, there was a bookstore in almost every few blocks or a bookstand. I was always stumbling into one from out of nowhere and spent my time exploring it. Now for the books that I acquired on my trip.
I was in Miami for a day and was able to stop by Books & Books on Lincoln Road Mall. I love how the genres are broken up into separate rooms and there is a cafe-restaurant where you can grab food and drinks! Here I purchased:
- How to Love a Jamaican: Stories by Alexia Arthurs
- When We Left Cuba by Chanel Cleeton
- Her Body and Other Parties: Stories by Carmen Maria Machado
The next one I purchased at the Miami International Airport when I was on my way to Argentina, they have a Books & Books store in the terminal.
As for the books I purchased in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At Libros del Pasaje, I purchased:
- El Amor Y Otros Choques De Tren by Leah Konen (This is the English version Love & Other Train Wrecks)
And at a random book stand in Plaza Italia, I purchased a book called Ficcones by Jorge Luis Borges.
I haven’t started any of these books as of yet. I am going to finish up my current one and then start reading Machado’s book for the book club I am part of at work.
I hope everyone is having a great start to their week!
